Mental Health Awareness for First Responders
As EMS Week 2016 comes to a close, we strive to continuously make the public more aware of the awesome things EMTs, Paramedics, Police Officers and Fire Fighters accomplish each and every day. Sometimes it is easy for us to lose signt and awareness of our own well being. With over one hundred responders losing their lives to PTSD and depression every year and suicide rates climbing at an alarming rate, it is important for us to be reminded to look out for ourselves and for each other.
